Reduction in Steam Consumption

* Introduction

[CE 1.1]
  • Project: Reduction in Steam Consumption
  • Duration: [Date] – [Date]
  • Location: [Location]
  • Organization: [Organization]
  • Position: Production or Plant Engineers

* Background

[CE 1.2]

Pretreatment is the initial step in textile wet processing. It is mainly used to remove oils, size, fats, and waxes to enhance absorbency. This makes the material sufficiently white for dyeing. The process is typically carried out at 100 degrees in the fabric dyeing process house. A pretreatment at 95 degrees reduces steam consumption and shortens the cycle time of soft-flow machines.

[CE 1.3]

The project aimed to reduce the pretreatment temperature from 100°C to 95°C in Fabric Dyeing. I worked on lowering the PVA dissolution temperature from 120°C to 110°C in Fabric Dyeing. Furthermore, the temperature of the hot wash following full bleach of the Yarn in the Package Dyeing machine was reduced from 100°C to 95°C.

I also obtained an elimination of hot wash after Neutralization in full bleach of the Yarn in the Package Dyeing machine. There was even a reduction in the temperature of the hot wash following the Pretreatment of Yarn in the Package Dyeing machine from 95°C to 75°C.

[CE 1.4]
Responsibilities:
  • I worked on carrying out PVA dissolution at 110 degrees in a zero-twist towel, which was altered to achieve the defined absorbency and whiteness index.
  • I analyzed the PVA solubility in water, which is specifically dependent on the polymerization degree.
  • I worked on setting the partial-hydrolyzed PVA solubility, which was high at room temperature and fully-hydrolyzed PVA was mandatory in water under the same situation.
  • I realized that the twist mainly referred towards the twists per inch of yarn values, which were done using production engineering skills.

CAREER EPISODE 2

Reduction in Soft Water Consumption

* Introduction

[CE 2.1]
  • Project: Reduction in Soft Water Consumption
  • Duration: [Date] – [Date]
  • Location: [Location]
  • Organization: [Organization]
  • Position: Production Engineer

* Background

[CE 2.2]

The regulation process mainly works for the prevention of the rapid decomposition of bleach and for the minimization of the fibre degradation, mainly termed as stabilization. The bleach bath stabilizers normally function from free radicals formation control. These are associated with the selection of complex material blends, specifically designed to serve functions such as controlling free radicals. The regulation process was complex, based on the selection of the material, mainly serving various functions.

[CE 2.3]
The assigned duties in the project were:
  • I was responsible for conducting trials and testing, resulting in the most effective process.
  • I mainly carried out working on setting the hot wash temperature to a defined 95 degrees, which was obtained after the neutralization process elimination.
  • I obtained the core pH value within the defined standards during various trials and tests.
  • I worked to obtain RKM values that met the defined standards, and the whiteness index was determined accordingly for the defined TBM clothing.

CAREER EPISODE 3

Standardization of Cycle Time to Improve RFT%

* Introduction

[CE 3.1]
  • Title: Standardization of Cycle Time to Improve RFT%
  • Duration: [Date] – [Date]
  • Location: [Location]
  • Organization: [Organization]
  • Position: Production Engineer

* Background

[CE 3.2]

The concept of RFT is mainly associated with achieving the right shape first, which was closely linked to the dyeing process. There was an inverse relationship with reprocessing: enhanced RFT significantly reduced reprocessing and further enhanced production.

It was noted that reprocessing mainly costs 1.5 times the production cost, while offering various intangible advantages, such as improved quality, increased serviceability, and increased A-Grade packing. In RFT, a 1% improvement significantly increased profitability. It was mandatory to enhance RFT to improve productivity and quality.

[CE 3.3]
The assigned work duties were:
  • I focus on the three key areas, which are based on the cycle time standardization, along with improving the RFT percentage.
  • I set the base whiteness with the RFD ground absorbency.
  • I carried out process parameter setting, setting the process parameters that significantly affected dyeing quality, namely RFD parameters and temperature/pressure at defined stages.
  • I worked on determining the weights of the chemicals and dyes, considering various factors to achieve the desired results. Get complimentary CDR samples from AustraliaCDRHelp.Com.
